A.~reement with Architect for New Police Facil.~ty <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 80:332) dated November 13, 1980, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion with Mr. Jack Bras, Architect, it was moved by <br />Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. <br />80-289, authorizing the City Manager to sign an agreement with J. Jack Bras for <br />architect services for a new police building, with compensation to be 7.25 percent <br />of construction cost not to exceed $90,000, and amending the 1980-81 Capital Im- <br />provement Program to increase the appropriation for design of the police facility <br />by $28,100.00, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />.S.t.u.dy of the Intersection of Tawny Drive and Touri~a Drive <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 80:318) dated November 7, 1980, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Loren Lentz, 592 Tawny Drive, representing residents in the area, stated <br />this group would prefer a Stop sign on Touriga as well as Tawny, and he requested <br />staff to further study the second Stop sign. <br /> <br /> Mr. Warnick advised that residents in the area of Tawny and Touriga had met <br />with the Staff Traffic Committee and that after review of this matter staff felt <br />that a Stop sign on Tawny is the best first step with further study after the Stop <br />sign is installed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 80-290, amending Resolution No. 76-79 (Establishing Traffic Regula- <br />tions for City Streets) authorizing that a Stop sign be installed on Tawny Drive <br />at its intersection with Touriga Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the Director of Public Works <br />and Utilities dated November 12, 1980, regarding Traffic Signals - Hopyard Road at <br />the entrance to the Sports Park, advising that installation should be complete by <br />mid-April, 1981. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the Fire Chief dated November <br />12, 1980, relative to Komandorski Village Live Fire Training and advising the site <br />layout and a tentative schedule of training. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the City Manager dated November <br />12, 1980, relative to the City Council Agenda Planning Report for November, December, <br />and January. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the Director of Public Works <br />and Utilities, dated October 24, 1980, transmitting the Minutes from the Staff <br />Traffic Committee Meeting of October 22, 1980. <br /> <br /> 6. 11/17/8o <br /> <br /> <br />
