Adoption of Resolution No. 80-284, approving the authorization to proceed under <br /> Purchase Order for the Improvements of Kotting Place-Parking Addition, Project <br /> No. 80-9, and issuance of Purchase Order for the work to JWC Construction, Inc., <br /> in the amount of $5,000.00. <br /> <br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-285, approving the extension of the Valley Volun- <br /> teer Bureau's lease agreement for use of the Police Training Building with the <br /> term of the extension to be January 1, 1981, through December 31, 1982. <br /> <br />h. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-286, approving Claims for the month of October, <br /> 1980, in the amount of $845,563.18. <br /> <br /> i. Fees and Charges - Field Use, moved to item 12f on the agenda. <br /> <br />j. Recreation Department Solar Hearing; Pleasanton Aquatic Center, moved to item <br /> 12g on the agenda. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart abstained from voting on approval of :the City Council <br />Minutes for 10-28-80, due to his absence from that meeting. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION POSTHUMOUSLY HONORING JOHN NcWILLIAMS, .SR. <br /> Mayor Mercer read Resolution No. 80-281, posthumously honoring John McWilliams, <br />St., City employee and former Planning Commissioner, City Councilmember, and Mayor. <br />Mayor Mercer requested that a copy of this resolution be presented to the family of <br />Mr. McWilliams and also that one be placed in Century House since Mr. McWilliams <br />was an influential force in the restoration of this historic building. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Resolu- <br />tion No. 80-281, posthumously honoring John McWilliams, Sr., be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Wood requested staff to pursue the possibility of extending BART <br />bus service to the Stoneridge Shopping Center. Mr. Walker advised that staff is <br />currently working on this matter and will continue to do so in an effort to get <br />BART service to the Center. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr reported on the Emergency Housing Conference in Sacramento <br />on November 13, 1980, sponsored by the State Chamber of Commerce.
