MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> November 17, 1980 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, and Mrs. Bengtson, Director of Recreation and Human Resources, <br />were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMEN"FS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following amendment be made to the agenda: <br /> <br />Dismiss item 8a - Appeal of a decision of the Planning Commission denying the <br /> application of Mildred R. Vallarino to fezone the 4.4 acre <br /> site located at 3897, 3887, 3889 Vineyard Avenue from the <br /> RM-4000 (Residential !0 units per acre) District to the <br /> RM-1500 (Residential 29 units per acre) District, and <br /> accompanying Negative Declaration; at the request of the <br /> appellant. -= <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would not be an Executive Session at the conclusion <br /> of this meeting to discuss labor relations. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood requested that item 4J - Recreation Department Solar Heating; <br /> Pleasanton Aquatic Center, be removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion as <br /> item 12g. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart requested that item 4i - Fees and Charges - Field Use, be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar for discussion as item 12f. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Commend Barbara Gray Boyd, Retiring Alameda County Librarian. <br /> <br />b. Approval of City Council Minutes for 10-28-80 and 11-10-80. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-282, approving Program Supplements Nos. 17 and 18, <br /> and an Agreement between the State of California and the City of Pleasanton to <br /> acquire Necessary Right-of-Way. <br /> <br /> d. Approval of Resolution amending Resolution No. 76-79 (Establishing Traffic <br /> Regulations for City Streets) by amending Section 6 "No Parking Zones" by <br /> adding Subsection 6b-2 regarding No Parking on Black Avenue; was approved then <br /> rescinded and amended for approval under Meetin5 Open to the Public. <br /> <br /> <br />
