Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the Negative Declaration. Mr. Jack Bras, Architect representing Bank of America, stated that minor changes had been made to the plan which seemed to be acceptable to everyone. Mr. John Ellis, representing Bank of America, stated his firm concurred with the solution. Councilmember Butler stated he felt there could be a better design of the proposed building, but the present plan is acceptable. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed on the application and the Negative Declaration. It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 80-264, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative Declaration is appropriate for design approval of a 13,625 sq. ft. bank building proposed to be constructed at 337 Main Street, the subject property being zoned CC (Central Commercial) District, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that Resolution No. 80-265, approving the design of a 13,625 sq. ft. bank building proposed to be constructed at 337 Main Street, the subject property being zoned CC (Central Commercial) District, be adopted.
