Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Bras, Architect representing Bank of America, stated that minor <br />changes had been made to the plan which seemed to be acceptable to everyone. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Ellis, representing Bank of America, stated his firm concurred with <br />the solution. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated he felt there could be a better design of the <br />proposed building, but the present plan is acceptable. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 80-264, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative Declaration is appropriate for <br />design approval of a 13,625 sq. ft. bank building proposed to be constructed at 337 <br />Main Street, the subject property being zoned CC (Central Commercial) District, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, <br />that Resolution No. 80-265, approving the design of a 13,625 sq. ft. bank building <br />proposed to be constructed at 337 Main Street, the subject property being zoned <br />CC (Central Commercial) District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: .None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer expressed appreciation to the Bank of America for their investment <br />in the downtown area. <br /> <br />R~yiew 0f Alame~ County Solid Waste Management Auth~rity's draft Solid Waste <br />Management Plan and draft Supplement to the Environmental Impact Repor~ pertain- <br />in~ to said plan <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager (SR 80:295) <br />dated October 8, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> M2yor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 80-266, after having held the required public hearing to review <br />the Alameda County Solid ~ste Management Authority's draft Solid Waste Management <br />Plan and draft Supplement to the Environmental Impact Report pertaining to said <br /> <br /> 13. 10/14/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
