271 Request of Lee Amaral to Process General Plan Amendment at Peters Avenue and St. ~ary Street Mr. Harris presented his report dated September 17, 1980, regarding this matter. Mayor Mercer stated that one side of Peters Avenue is already zoned Commercial or Office, and it seems consistent to have the same zoning on the other side. Councilmember Butler stated he opposed the portion of the policy statement regarding consideration of impacts of the railroad consolidation on the downtown as he did not feel this was appropriate at this time since consolidation is pro- bably a long ways away. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council- member Wood, that the request of Lee Amaral to process General Plan Amendment at Peters Avenue and St. Mary Street be held in abeyance until after a final decision has been made on all Land Use Committee recommendations. A~ter discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- member Wood, that Resolution No. 80-246, approving a procedural accommodation relative to the timing and filing of Tentative Maps for those developers desiring to move their projects ahead rapidly after Residential Allocation Program approval, directing staff to provide the waiver form, and notifying all developers of this procedural accommo- dation, be adopted.
