REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Board of AdJustment~ Design Review Board~ and Planning Commis- <br />sion at their meetin~ of 4-9-80 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated April 10, 1980, regarding this matter for <br /> the information of the Council. No action was required or taken by Council on this <br /> item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Enforcement of Smoke Detector Ordinance <br /> Chief Hill presented his report dated April 15, 1980, regarding this matter, and <br />recommended continuance of the program as accomplished in the past. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Council approved the program as outlined in the Fire Chief's <br />staff report SR 80:104, dated April 15, 1980, for the enforcement of City Ordinance <br />No. 870, which requires that all residential units being sold have a smoke detector <br />installed. <br /> <br />Implementation of Tennis Court Monitor Program <br /> ' Mayor Mercer declared this item dismissed from the agenda at the request of <br />staff. <br /> <br />Request for ConnectiOn to City Sewer S~stembX Joseph Ales (Remen Tract) <br /> Mr. Schaumburg presented his report dated April 14, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that Resolu- <br />tion No. 80-107, approving the request of Joseph J. Ales to connect two parcels <br />located at 3655 Vineyard Avenue and 495 Linden Way to the City Sanitar7 Sewer Sys- <br />tem subject to agreement to annex at some future date, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Kephart and Wood <br /> <br />Re.quest for Co.n~.ect!on to e~t~ Sewer System~b7 Lyle Stearns (Remen Tract) <br /> Mr. Schaumburg presented his report dated April 14, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that Resolu- <br />tion No. 80-108, approving the request of Lyle D. Stearns to connect his residence <br />at 3545 Vine Street to the City Sanitary Sewer System subject to agreement to annex <br />at some future date, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Kephart and Wood <br /> <br />Confirmation of Nuisance Abatement Contractor for 1980 <br /> Mr. Klenk presented his report dated April 8, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mohr, that Resolution No. 80-109, awarding the contract for Nuisance Abatement <br />for 1980 to Spilker Tree Service, and authorizing the appropriate City officials to <br />execute the contract, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Kephart and Wood <br /> <br /> 8. 4/22/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
