REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Enforcement of Smoke Detector Ordinance Chief Hill presented his report dated April 15, 1980, regarding this matter, and recommended continuance of the program as accomplished in the past. After discussion, Council approved the program as outlined in the Fire Chief's staff report SR 80:104, dated April 15, 1980, for the enforcement of City Ordinance No. 870, which requires that all residential units being sold have a smoke detector installed. Implementation of Tennis Court Monitor Program ' Mayor Mercer declared this item dismissed from the agenda at the request of staff. Request for ConnectiOn to City Sewer S~stembX Joseph Ales (Remen Tract) Mr. Schaumburg presented his report dated April 14, 1980, regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that Resolu- tion No. 80-107, approving the request of Joseph J. Ales to connect two parcels located at 3655 Vineyard Avenue and 495 Linden Way to the City Sanitar7 Sewer Sys- tem subject to agreement to annex at some future date, be adopted. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that Resolu- tion No. 80-108, approving the request of Lyle D. Stearns to connect his residence at 3545 Vine Street to the City Sanitary Sewer System subject to agreement to annex at some future date, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmembers Kephart and Wood Confirmation of Nuisance Abatement Contractor for 1980 Mr. Klenk presented his report dated April 8, 1980, regarding this matter. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- member Mohr, that Resolution No. 80-109, awarding the contract for Nuisance Abatement for 1980 to Spilker Tree Service, and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the contract, be adopted.
