The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br />Central Business District Zone Parking Enforcement <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated March 20, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bob Graham, representing the Downtown Association, stated this group con- <br />curred with the staff report and urged approval of the parking enforcement. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Mayor Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember <br />· Butler, that Resolution No. 80-77, approving the hiring of two part-time temporary <br />Parking Control Assistants, each to work approximately 24 hours per week - Monday <br />through Saturday to make five parking enforcement rounds per day in the Central <br />Business District, and amending the current Police Department budget by approxi- <br />mately $2,280.00 to cover the cost of this program, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> <br />Mission Hills Park Plans and Specifications <br /> Mr. Walker advised Council that plans and specifications for the Mission Hills <br />Park had been prepared by A1 Dutchover, the Cityts consultant landscape architect <br />for this project, but that staff had not yet reviewed these plans and specifica- <br />tions. Mr. Walker advised that the Park and Recreation Commission would~be re- <br />viewing the plans and specifications at their meeting tomorrow night. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Mayor Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Mercer, that Resolution No. 80-78, tentatively approving the plans and specifica- <br />tions for Mission Hills Park and authorizing the Call for Bids, subject to approval <br />by the Park and Recreation Commission at their meeting of March 26, 1980, of this <br />matter, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Southwest Nuclear Update <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report dated March 25, 1980, regarding this matter. <br />He stated that Fred Cullum, Chief Building Inspector, and Joe Hill, Fire Chief, <br />have inspected Southwest Nuclear Companyws facilities with regard to the Cityts <br />concerns and that South~est~s attorney had met with City staff last week. As a <br />result, Southwest has made application for a building permit for the structures <br />constructed within the facility at 7066A Commerce Circle, and the City~s other <br />concerns have been satisfied. At this point, the only continuing contact with <br />Southwest Nuclear will be an informal monitoring systemby the Fire Chief.
