Mr. Gerald Listman, 4884 Treewood Court, stated he did not understand why RV~s <br /> were being singled out as a culprit; that cars can present as much .problem. He <br /> stated he did not want to be inconvenienced by having to move his RV someplace <br /> other than his residence. He added that he had worked hard for his RV and he did <br /> not feel an ordinance such as the one proposed was fair. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by ~yor <br /> Brandes, to place an ordinance regarding regarding on-street recreational vehicle <br /> parking limitation on the April, 1980, Ballot. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilman Kephart and Mayor Brandes <br /> NOES: Councilmen Butler, Mercer, and Wood <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was .moved by Mayor Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that the <br /> City Council initiate an amendment to Section 2-5.47 of the Pleasanton Ordinance <br /> Code to include motor homes and trucks with campers to restrictions of Subsection <br /> (e) and (f) of that Code section. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: Councilman Kephart <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> The City Attorney advised this ordinance amendment would go to the Planning <br />Commission for review and then to City Council for adoption. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes asked Councilmember Butler if he felt it would be a waste of <br />time to discuss the recreational vehicle ordinance further. Councilmember Butler <br />stated he was not in favor of the ordinance as proposed but would like to give <br />consideration to the San Leandro ordinance regulating vehicles taller than 7 ft., <br />and longer than 20 ft., at a later date. <br /> <br />~pproval of Notice of Election <br /> The City Attorney presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager <br />dated January 2, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 80-15, approving the Notice of Election setting forth the time of <br />election, offices to be filled, hours the polls will be open on election day, <br />ballot measures if any, and allowing rebuttals to ballot measures if any, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No.. 922, amending the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton <br />~ adding Chapte~ .8~ Title IV~ to require. business proprietors to exclude minors~. <br />f_rom a~Z room or place where devices~...contrivances~. instruments or p. araphernalia for <br />the smoking 0.r in~ection of marijuana) hashish, ~CP, or any controlled substance is <br />displayed or offered for sale <br />(Introduced 12-1!-79.z .~TAyes) <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report dated January 3, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated he felt that cigarette papers should not be included <br />in this ordinance since it is sold in grocery stores and has a non-drug related use. <br />After discussion, Council agreed to remove the words "cigarette papers" from the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br /> 13. 1/8/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
