The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated he felt that the Chairpersons of the various Sub- <br /> committees should have the prerogative of having additional members on their <br /> committees that are not a part of the overall 17 member committee. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that the <br />focus of the Land Use/Circulation Element Review be adhered to as set forth in <br />the City Manager's report SR 80:8 dated December 31, 1979, and any deviation <br />thereof would require approval by City Council; with a target completion date of <br />June, 1980; that public input be allowed at each meeting; and that the City <br />Council make appointments to this Committee at their meeting of January 22, 1980. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report on Housin~ Needs Survey <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated December 31, 1979, regarding this matter <br />for the information of the Council. Council accepted the report without any action <br />on this item. <br /> <br />Report Re: Low/Moderate Income Housing in other Cities <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated January 3, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated the report did not contain sufficient information <br />and suggested that a committee be established to visit other cities to discuss <br />their housing programs. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Wood, that the City Council appoint two Council members and two <br />City staff members to investigate in depth the housing programs in certain Bay <br />Area Cities and bring back a report for review by the Council. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes appointed Councilmembers Butler and Mercer, and Director of <br />Planning Harris, and Assistant City'Manager'Jim Walker to serve on this Committee. <br /> <br />Application of McDonald's Corporation for Holdin8 Tank Permit and A~reement <br /> I.~yor Brandes declared this item dismissed from the agenda at the request of <br />McDonald's Corporation. <br /> <br />Review of Bids and Award of Contract for the Construction of Handicap Ramp for <br />the Veterans Memorial Buildin~.~. Pro~ect No. 79-13 <br /> Mr. Campbell presented his report dated January 2, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood had a question on the bids but stated he now understood <br />the bidding process. <br /> <br /> ll. 1/S/SO <br /> <br /> <br />
