No action was required or taken by Council on this item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITYMANAGER <br />Recommendation for increase in the amount of In-Lieu Park Dedication Fees <br /> (Contd. from 5-12-81) <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 81:147) dated May 6, 1981, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Rod Herman, representing The Building Industry Association of Northern <br />California, presented written comments to the Council. He summarized these comments <br />by stating that the Building Industry Association is concerned about the impact such <br />an increase will have on the homebuyer. He stated that developers with approved <br />tentative maps should not be subject to an increase in the in-lieu dedication fee, <br />if one is adopted; those with tentative maps should be subject to the existing fee. <br />Mr. Herman requested that this item be continued until concerns are addressed as to <br />who the increase will apply to; if park fees not committed are being refunded to <br />property owners if not used; and whether or not land dedicatedor fees paid bear'a <br />reasonable relationship to the use of the park and recreation facilities by the <br />inhabitants of the subdivision. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated he was opposed to an increase in any fees. He assured Mr. <br />Herman that park dedication fees were used to develop parks in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gil Barbee, 147 Bernal Avenue, asked that any increase in In-Lieu Park <br />Dedication Fees not apply to those with Tentative Maps already approved. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mohr, that Resolution No. 81-161, amending Resolution No. 77-123 (a resolu- <br />tion establishing fees and charges for various municipal services in the City of <br />Pleasanton) establishing fees in lieu of dedication of public Park Land as follows: <br /> <br /> TOTAL IN-LIEU PARK FEES FOR DEVELOPMENTS WITH TENTATIVE <br /> MAP APPROVAL.BEFOREMAY 26~ 1981 <br /> <br /> Housing Type and Building Site Area Total Fee Per Lot or Dwellin5 Unit <br /> R-1 6500 - 40,000 $655 <br /> R-M 4000 $581 <br /> R-M 2500 $605 <br /> R-M 2000 $555 <br /> R-M 1500 and under $531 <br /> Mobile Home Lot $531 <br /> <br /> 4. 5/26/81 <br /> <br /> <br />
