21 <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Kephart, that Ordinance No. 973, approving Case PUD-80-16, application of <br />Meyer Properties, Inc., for planned unit development (Industrial and Commercial) <br />zoning and development plan approval for an approximately 82 acre site located at <br />the northwest corner of Hopyard Road and Stoneridge Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, and Mohr <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting.. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no Reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />1 MGD Ind~stri~l~ Retail Commercial Expansion of LAVWMA Pipeline Facility and <br />Authorization to Prepare Plans and Specifications <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 81:148) dated May 6, 1981, regarding this <br />matter, <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 81-145, approving Task Order No. 2 to the Agreement with CH2M Hill <br />for 1 MGD Industrial-Non Retail Commercial Expansion of the LAVWMA pipeline facility <br />and authorizing the City Manager to sign the Task Order on behalf of the City, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as ~ollows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT~ None <br /> <br />Recommendation for increase in the amount of..!~TLieu Park Dedication Fees <br /> Mayor Meraer decfar'Ca [~fs'item continued to the meeting of May 26, 1981, at <br />the request of Building Industry Association. <br /> <br />Review of BART's Five-Year Express Bus Services Plan <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager (SR 81:150) <br />dated May 6, 1981, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that the <br />CityManager be authorized to transmit a letter to BART expressing the City's oppo- <br /> Mar 's/Division Street rather than Santa Rita/Valley <br />sition to the intended use of St. y <br />Avenue as part of the basic service bus route; ~he City Council and staff believe <br />St. Mary's/Division Street is unsuited to bustravel because of the following: (1) <br /> Mar ' <br />buses would be required to turn left fromMain Street onto St. y s creating addi- <br />tional traffic problems in the downtown area because no traffic signal exists at <br />this intersection; (2) buses would be routed, in part, through a residential area; <br />and (3) the narrow roadway on Division Street between the St. Mary's/Division Street <br /> Y and Del Valle Parkway is unsuited to bus travel; and that it is the City's posi- <br />tion that Santa Rita Road/Valley Avenue continue to be used as the route linking <br />Main Street and Hopyard Road; and also expressing pleasure with BART's decision to <br />serve the Stoneridge Shopping Center. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, 'Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 9. 5/12/81 <br /> <br /> <br />
