293 <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Mrs. Christine Pearson, representing ECHO Housing, urged Council to support the <br /> Proclamation regarding National Fair Housing Month in April. She stated there is <br /> evidence of discrimination in housing because of race, religion, national origin, <br /> sex, and marital status, and that it is ECHO's aim to resolve some of these problems <br /> through education and other available means. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for March 24, 1981. <br /> <br />b. ProclaimApril 19-25, 1981, as Professional Secretaries Week in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-85, approving Claims for the month of February, <br /> 1981, in the amount of $404,527.52. <br /> <br /> d. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-86, approving authorization to file a Claim with <br /> the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for allocation of Development Act <br /> Funds for Fiscal Year 1981-82 to enable the City to continue its present trans- <br /> portation program for the elderly and the handicapped, and authorizing the <br /> Director of Recreation and H,~msn Resources to execute and file the Claim. <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-87, accepting Grant Deed from The Roman CathOlic <br /> Corporation of Oakland, a corporation, for the construction of Peters Avenue, <br /> and authorizing the City Manager to execute the Certificate of Acceptance of <br /> Real Property; authorize the Grant Deed to be recorded with the Alameda County <br /> Recorder; authorize staff to deposit $98,400.00 into escrow for the purchase of <br /> said property; and authorize the Director of Public Works and the Mayor to <br /> execute the Real Property Purchase Contract. <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-88, approving the application for 1980 State Grant <br /> monies for the Amador Park project. <br /> <br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-89, approving Final Map and ~nprovement Plans for <br /> Tract 4671, Linvale Unit 1, SAVC0 Construction Company. <br /> <br /> h. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-90, approving Right-of-Way Description for portions <br /> of Parkside Drive within the City Park known as Parcel One and Parcel Two and <br /> authorize the City Manager to file said documents with the Recorder of Alameda <br /> County; and Introduce Ordinance No. 971, to be read by title only and waiving <br /> further reading thereof, establishing a speed limit of 25 miles per hour for the <br /> 4-lane portion of Parkside Drive and 15 miles per hour for 'the 2-lane access <br /> road from the 4-lane road to the parking areas. <br /> <br /> i. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-91, accepting a Walkway Easement in Tract 3297, <br /> from Fairlands Park Association, and authorizing the City Manager to present to <br /> and file with the Recorder of Alameda County, California, said instruments or <br /> documents of conveyance described above where the City of Pleasanton is the <br /> Grantee; and to execute in behalf of the City, the Certificate of Acceptance <br /> to permit said documents to be recorded. <br /> <br />J. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-92, approving agreement for a private grade crossing <br /> with Southern Pacific Transportation Company at the Arro.yo Mocho near Santa Rita <br /> Road in order for the sewer department to have access to and service an existing <br /> sewer line which crosses the Arroyo Mocho.
