After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 81-102, requesting reconsideration of <br />Pleasanton's sphere of influence by Alameda County Local Agency Formation Com- <br />mission (LAFCO), be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development dated April 9, 1981, regarding the extension of Pico Avenue, <br />stating that the Planning Commission believes that his is a highly important link <br />in the City's transportation network and that its completion should be accomplished <br />as soon as possible, and feel that it should be included as an item in the City's <br />upcoming three-year capital improvement program and that every effort should be <br />made to construct it in that time period. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the City Council Agenda Planning Report for April, May, <br />and June. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the Director of Public Works <br />and Utilities, transmitting the Minutes of the Staff Traffic Committee Meeting of <br />April 2, 1981. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the City Manager, transmitting <br />the Police Department Annual Report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the Director of Public Works <br />and Utilities, regarding the Status of the West Las Positas Overcrossing Project. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated the above items were information only; no action was re- <br />quired or taken by Council. Mayor Mercer instructed the reports be noted and filed. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />AB-500 <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report (SR 81:102) dated April 3, 1981, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Council support AB-500, which provides the Department of Justice with clear legal <br />authority to continue to furnish subsequent arrest notification and establishes <br />reasonable criteria for agencies to notify the Department when they have no further <br />interest in an applicant; and instructed the City Attorney to advise the appro- <br />priate legislators of this action. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart,'Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />LeSal Status of the Residential Allocation Program <br />(Contd. from 3-10-81) <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of April 21, 1981, at <br />the request of staff. <br /> <br /> 11. 4/10/8l <br /> <br /> <br />
