REPORTS OF THE CITYMANAGER <br /> Review of Bids and Award of Contract for the Installation of Nine Electroliers at <br /> Creeks Bend (Tract 3359) and One Electrolier at VintaSe Hills (Tract 4419) <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 81:29) dated February 2, 1981, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember <br /> Wood, that Resolution No. 81-39, after review of bids for the installation of nine <br /> electrollers at Creeks Bend (Tract 3359) and one electroller at Vintage Hills (Tract <br /> 4419), appropriate an additional $7,500.00 for the project to bring the total funds <br /> available to cover the contract cost and other minor P.G.& E. connection charges to <br /> $11,039.00, and award the contract to the low bidder, Steiny and Company, Inc., on <br /> the basis of the base hid plus alternate #1 in a total amount of $10,612.00, be <br /> adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Consideration of Froposed ASreement with State of California~ Department of Trans- <br /> portation~ for the West Las Positas Overcrossin8 <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 81:27) dated January 30, 1981, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. David Melander, 7988 Limewood Court, asked Council to consider the installa- <br />tion of a sound wall as a noise barrier in this area when the overcrossing is built. <br />Mr. Melander stated he heard from the County that the State would not permit a <br />cloverleaf at Stoneridge because it is too close to 1-580. Staff advised him the <br />North Pleasanton Traffic Study indicates there should be interchanges at West Las <br />Positas and at Stoneridge ultimately. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert Grassmyer, 7222 Tulipwood Circle, stated he had concerns about <br />traffic and where the City will get the additional funds for this overcrossing. <br />Staff advised that the City is obligated for 40% of the cost, which will come from <br />capital improvement money and FAU funds. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated he felt the comments regarding a sound wall were valid. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated she felt that the extension of Valley Avenue to <br />Stanley Boulevard was a higher priority project and should be accomplished before <br />the West Las Positas evercrossing. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Kephart, that Resolution No. 81-40, approving the Cooperative Agreement be- <br />tween the State and the City of Pleasanton for the West Las Positas evercrossing, <br />and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the Agreement, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Mohr <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Street Maintenance <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 81:26) dated January 28, 1981, regarding <br />this matter.
