181 . <br /> <br /> Mr. William Struthers, Attorney representing the Pleasanton Housing Authority, <br />stated the agreement is required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development <br />prior to considering the Housing Authorityts request for federal funds to build low <br />cost housing. He stated he agrees to the City Attorney's changes in the agreement, <br />but if HUD does not accept them he will be back to Council for an agreement that is <br />acceptable to HUD. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br />on this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 81-439, approving the Cooperative Agreement between the City of <br />Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Housing Authority regarding development of low cost <br />housing in the City of Pleasanton, as drafted by the City Attorney, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1009~ approving .the application of the City of Pleasanton <br />to prezone Annexation No. 83a approximately 23 acres located on the north side of <br />the ArroTo Mocho Immediately easterly of and adjacent to the present City limit <br />line approx~motely 2~900 ft. west of E1 Charro Road to the "A" (A~ricultural) Dis- <br />trict <br />(Intro. 12-8-81~ 4-AyeS, 1-No) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1009 was introduced on December 8, 1981, <br />by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1009, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone <br />Annexation No. 83, approximately 23 acres located on the north side of the Arroyo <br />Mocho immediately easterly of and adjacent to the present City limit line approxi- <br />mately 2,000 ft. west of E1 Charro Road to the "A" (Agricultural) District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Cable T.V. Extension <br /> Mrs. Charlotte Severin, Chairperson of the Citizens Cable T.V. Advisory Council, <br />presented the report of this committee and the proposed CATV extension agreement, <br />which basically provides for: (1) extension of Viacom's franchise in Pleasanton to <br />July 15, 1985, the extension period being from December 1, 1983 to July 15, 1985; <br />(2) Viacom will rebuild the existing cable system in Pleasanton to allow an increase <br />to 20 basic channels plus two additional pay channels; (3) Viacom is to continue to <br />cooperate with citizens to provide community service television; and (4) Viacom is <br />to be granted an increase in the basic service charge. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mohr, that Resolution No. 81-440, approving the CATV extension agreement to <br />July 15, 1985, and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the agree- <br />ment, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> 9. 12/22/81 <br /> <br /> <br />
