On the basis of an Initial study of the potential environmental impacts of the project., .the Director of Planning and Community Development has determined that the proposed. project would not have any potential significant adverse effects on the environment and that an environmental impact report need not be prepared. This Initial Study is available for review at the Plannin~ Divisio~ 200 Bernal Avenue~ Pleasanton. Comments on this decisiqnmay be directed to either the Planning staff prior to the above meetin~ date~ or directlX to the City Council at the above noticed meeting Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 81:450) dated December 16, 1981, regarding this matter. Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on theapplication and the negative declaration. Mr. Art Dunkley, Castlewood Properties, representing the applicant, stated he concurs with the staff recommendations, and requested approval of this application. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed on the application and the negative declaration. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 81-437, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as Cit ' outlined in the y s guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate for a general plan amendment to change the land use designation of an approximately 9.4 acre site located at the terminus of Crellin Road from Open Space (Public Health and Safety) to Low Density Residential, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 81-438, approving the application of Mutua! Land Company for a general plan amendment to change the land use designation of an approximately 9.4 acre site located at the terminus of Crellin Road from Open Space (Public Health and Safety) to Low Density Residential, subject to the following dondition: That this general plan amendment from Open Space (Public Health and Safety) to Low Density Residential is only for the northwestern approximately 9.4 acre portion of parcel #946-1735-17 as shown on the site map, Exhibit A, and that the remainder of this approximately 48 acre parcel shall remain as shown on the General Plan, Open Space (Public Health and Safety), be adopted.
