Adoption of Resolution No. 81-419, accepting a Grant Deed from Vorelco 0f Cali- <br /> fornia, Inc., for Johnson Drive as shown on Parcel Map 2566, for public street <br /> purposes, and authorizing the City M~nager to present to and file with the <br /> Recorder of Alameda County, California, said instruments or documents of con- <br /> veyance described above where the City of Pleasanton is the grantee, and to <br /> execute~on behalf of the City the certificate of acceptance to permit said <br /> documents to be recorded. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> There were no matters initiated by Councilmembers at this meeting. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Wood presented a progress report of the Alameda County Solid Waste <br />Management Committee regarding use of property in the Altamont area for disposal. <br />He advised that additional studies will be completed and public hearings scheduled <br />as well as a field trip to consider this issue. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Frank Lowenthal, 4586 Gatetree Circle, addressed the Council regarding <br />malathion spraying of Pleasanton. He stated that he had talked by telephone this <br />date with Mr. Scribner, of the Madfly Project, who advised him that most areas are <br />only sprayed for two life cycles of the medfly (12 sprayings). Mr. Lowenthal ex- <br />pressed concern that the western portion of Pleasanton has been included in addi- <br />tional spraying with Palomares Canyon, Dublin, and San Ramon. He requested that <br />Council pass a resolution requesting that Pleasanton only be sprayed for two life <br />cycles of the madfly. <br /> <br /> 2. 12/8/81 <br /> <br /> <br />
