' <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Reroutin~ of BART Commuter Bus Routes <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 81:412) dated November 19, 1981, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was the general concensus of the Council that Pleasanton needs more service. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr noted that when buses make right turns off Neal Street that <br />contact is made with the light standards and it appears necessary to move that light. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 81-410, adding those bus stops listed in the staff report, be adopted. <br />Council strongly urged that discussions continue with BART to provide full-time bus <br />service to the Stoneridge area. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Discussion of City-owned parcel of land for low cost housing.projects <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 81:413) dated November 19, 1981, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. P. Milne, 5525 San Antonio, spoke on the matter and indicated he would like <br />some discussion to ensure that the integrity of the area is maintained. <br /> <br /> Mr. Art Dunkley, 205F Main Street, stated he supports the staff recommendations, <br />but thought they should be more explicit to authorize negotiations with the non-profit <br />corporation recently formed. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued regarding the exact role ~f the non-profit corporation and <br />Council's legal options. Councilmember Butler brought up the possibility of a long- <br />term lease or other contractual arrangement between the City and the non-profit <br />organization to insure that it is going in the direction that the City desires. He <br />indicated the non-profit group was a good idea if it allows the low-cost housing <br />project to move more quickly since it has contacts with developers. Mr. Dunkley <br />indicated he was in favor of some kind of agreement which would provide an option <br />for site control until approval of a plan by the City Council. <br /> <br /> 8. 11/24/81 <br /> <br /> <br />
