The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 81-321, approving the street improvement agreement with CPS Associates <br />(Sente Associates Seven and'Valley Business Associates), to widen Valley Avenue to a <br />four-lane major thoroughfare and to landscape the median between Kolln Street and <br />Santa Rita Road, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />Housin~ and ~ommunity Development Act 8th~ 9th~ and 10th Year Recommended Pro3ects <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 81:318) dated September 21, 198'1, regarding <br />this matter. Mr. Walker advised that the first item listed on the report, allocat- <br />ing $40,000 for the Pleasanton Growth Center for Mentally Retarded Children, should <br />be deleted from the proposed projects as the building is being renovated by the City. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mohr, that Resolution No. 81-322, approving Housing and Community Development <br />Act 8th, 9th, and 10th year projects as follows: <br /> <br />1982-83 (Sth year) <br />Purchase and install smoke detectors both at Pleasanton <br />Gardens and Pleasanton Mobile Home Park $ 760. <br /> <br />Handicap curb cuts and sidewalk reconstruction - with <br />special consideration given to school sites and for <br />senior citizens 5,000. <br /> <br />Reconstruction of streets in the target (downtown) area 75,000. <br />Housing rehabilitation in the target area 100,000. <br />Pleasanton Garden Improvements 28,967. <br />Kottinger Place Improvements 57,150. <br /> <br />1983-84 (9.th yea~) <br />Kottinger Place Improvements 39,450. <br /> <br />Reconstruction of streets in the target (downtown) area 75,000. <br />Mousing rehabilitation in the target area 100,000. <br />CBD Residential Area Study Implementation Plan 12,000. <br /> <br /> 4. 9/29/81 <br /> <br /> <br />
