Mr. Joe Callahan, representing Prudential, presented maps showing <br />the proposed improvements as follows: (1) relocation of the Chabot Canal approxi- <br />mately 1,000 ft. each of Hopyard Road; (2) relocation of the Hewlett Canal westerly <br />and combine it with the reloca~ed Chabot Canal; (3) fill the existing Chabot and Hew- <br />lett Canals; and (4) rough grade approximately 500 acres, filling the area along Hop- <br />yard Road approximately 1.5-2.5 ft. and lowering some of the eastern portion of the <br />site an equivalent amount. He stated that they had been working with HUD and the <br />County on flood control, and have long term plans to get residents in this area out <br />of flood insurance requirements.
