It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 82-214, approving the 1982-83 City of Pleasanton Operating Bud- <br />get; and that Resolution No. 82-215, approving the 1982-83 City of Pleasanton <br />Capital Improvement Program, as submitted by staff, be adopted. <br />The roll call votes were as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mohr <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Butler <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Consideration of Plans and Specifications and Traffic Report on the Closure of <br />Secretariat Drive at Northway Road <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 82:222) dated June 16, 1982, regarding <br />this matter. He stated the Fire Department has also reviewed the plans and approved <br />them. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Mohr asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert Fagliano, 2595 Secretariat, indicated the residents were pleased <br />with the study by staff, however, they were concerned about the type of ground <br />cover planned; i.e., gravel and shrubs. They would like to see some greenery <br />there and suggested connecting to the water line from the nearby park. Discussion <br />ensued concerning provision of water to the planter area and landscape plans. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 82-216, approving the plans and specifications for closure of Secre- <br />tariat Drive at Northway Road, initiating a change in the name from Secretariat <br />Drive to Secretariat Court, and encouraging staff to try to provide water to the <br />planter strip as well as landscape with low shrubs, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mohr <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Butler <br /> <br /> The Acting City Attorney indicated it would be appropriate at this time to <br />adopt a resolution of intention to vacate a portion of Secretariat Drive and setting <br />a public hearing for July 13, 1982. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 82-217, a resolution of intention to vacate a portion of the right- <br />of-way of Secretariat Drive, and setting a public hearing for July 13, 1982, 8:00 <br />P.M., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mohr <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Butler <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1040~ approvin~ the application of Prudential Insurance <br />Company of America and Callahan-Pentz Properties for Planned Unit Development- <br />Industrial/Commercial and Offices zonin~ and development plan approval of a 573 <br />acre "business park" to be located on the east side of Hopyard Road between the <br />Arroyo Mocho and a point approximately 1400 feet south of 1-580 and extendin~ east <br />to the tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company <br /> Vice Mayor Mohr stated that Ordinance No. 1040 was introduced on June 8, 1982, <br />by a vote of 5-Ayes, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> 7. 6/22/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
