Miller to connect her residence to the City's Water System
(Contd. from 4-6-82)
Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 82:124)dated March 30, 1982, regarding this
matter.

Councilmember Mercer stated that Ms. Miller has a problem with her two acres
being annexed to the City without involving surrounding properties in the neighbor-
hood. He stated the City has previously given water and sewer service to parcels
not annexed to the City, so this would not be setting a precedent. The City Attorney
advised that he had met with Ms. Miller to explain to her the procedures and ramifi-
cations of annexation, and that after talking to her neighbors she wanted her letter
to stand as presented; that she is not in favor of annexing to the City but would
like to have City water service.

Councilmember Wood stated that Council has made annexation a requirement for
others requesting City services. Mr. Walker advised that those services provided
for in the Remen tract were at the request and recommendation of the County Health
Department, and that those parcels in the old Pleasanton Township County Water Assess-
ment District were required to be services.

It was moved by Councilmember Mercer to approve the request of Ms. Donna M.
Miller to connect her residence to the City's water system.

The motion died for lack of a second.

6. 4/27/82
