451 <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler stated he did not feel it necessary that Councilmembers attend <br />every meeting of the Planning Commission, Park and Recreation Commission, Human <br />Services Commission, and Housing Authority Board; attending only if there is an <br />item on the agenda that requires Council input. After discussion, it was moved <br />by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that Councilmembers <br />attend meetings of the four City commissions on an "on-call" basis. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report of the Citizens' Cable Television Advisory Committee <br /> Mayor Butler presented the report from the Citizens' Cable Television Advisory <br />Committee, dated March 22, 1982, for the information of the Council. No action was <br />required or taken by Council on this item. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Ms. Betty Rider, 4393 Mirador Drive, stated she is greatly concerned about <br />escapees from Santa Rita prison, and the matter of releasing them at the gate to <br />find their own transportation to where they might be going. She stated this is a <br />dangerous situation for the residents of Pleasanton and especially those living in <br />the northern section of the City. She requested Council to do whatever is necessary <br />to get released prisoners transported back to their arresting agency or some other <br />location out of this area. Chief of Police Eastman stated he has been in contact <br />with the Alameda County Sheriff's Department to coordinate a program to get released <br />prisoners bussed out of town but the program is not firmed up at this time, and he <br />will advise as soon as it is. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert Feeney, 3252 Flemington Court, representing Foothill High Athletic <br />Boosters, presented a brochure and requested Council support for the Foothill High <br />Athletic Boosters Coaches Appreciation Night on April 30, 1982, to raise runds for <br />an all-purpose athletic field at Foothill High School. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone three parcels of land (Parcels A~ <br />By and C~ Pa. rcel Map 2566) totalling approximately 16.7 acres from the I-G (General <br />Industrial) District to the P.U.D. (P~anned Unit Development) General and Limited <br />Industrial District. These parcels are located as follows: (1) 10.6 acres imme- <br />diately south of the Clorox research facility on Johnson Drive.~ excludin~ the south- <br />east approximately 2.75 acre portion; (2) 5.6 acres between Johnson Drive and <br />StoneridSe Drive east of 1-680; and (3) 3.2 acres south of Stoneridge Drive~ east <br />of 1-680 just north of the wastewater treatment facility of the Dublin San Ramon <br />Services District. The City Council may recommend any action concernin~ the sub- <br />ject property consistent with the General Plan <br /> <br />On the basis of a~ Initial StudX of the potential environmental impacts of the pro- <br />ject~ the Director of Planning and Community Development has determined that the <br />proposed project would not have any potential significant adverse effects on the <br />environment and that an environmental impact report need not be prepared. This <br />Initial .St.udy is available for review at the Plannin~ Division, 200 Bernal Avenue, <br />Pleasanton.
