Proclaim April 18-25, 1982, as National Library Week. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood abstained from voting on approval of the City Council Minutes <br /> for March 23, 1982, due to his absence from that meeting. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br />Appointment of Pleasanton Housing Authority Tenant Representatives <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that interviews were held earlier this evening to consider <br />persons to serve as tenant representatives on the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board, <br />and that it was now in order to make the appointments. - <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 82-116, appointing Marion Lowe as Kottinger Place representative on <br />the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board for a term of two years, said term to expire <br />May 1, 1984 (filling the expired term of Charlotte Pruett), be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 82-117, reappointing Rudy J. Trujillo as Komandorski Village repre- <br />sentative on the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board for a term of two years, said <br />term to expire May 1, 1984, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated there had recently been a hazardous waste emergency <br />in Mission Park. She asked if emergency services are aware of all the companies who <br />deal in hazardous materials in Pleasanton. She advised that companies are required <br />to have an E.P.A. number listed with the State. She requested staff to get this <br />list in order to know what companies in this area deal with hazardous chemicals or <br />generate hazardous waste, so as to be better prepared to handle emergencies of this <br />kind. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated that this would be the last regular meeting for this <br />particular Council due to the upcoming election, and he expressed a vote of thanks <br />to Councilmembers Kephart and Wood for their service of the last four years. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Alternative Methods of Or~anizi~ to Provide Wastewater Treatment and Disposal <br />~pacity for the ValleX <br /> Mayor Mercer presented the report of the Sewer Committee (Mayor Mercer and Vice <br />Mayor Butler) dated March 31, 1982, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> 2. 4/6/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
