341 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Mohr reported on the Board of Supervisors meeting on March 16, <br />1982, regarding the Moller Quarry on Foothill Road. She advised she presented the <br />conditions that were suggested by Council at the meeting of March 9, 1982, but that <br />the Board of Supervisors approved the permit without any response to Council's con- <br />cerns. She asked for further instructions. After discussion, Council had no further <br />comments regarding this issue, and thanked Councilmember Mohr for her efforts relative <br />to this matter. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of Ernest and Charlotte Jones to rezone approximately 4.5 acres of land <br />located at the northwest corner of Rose Avenue and Rose Lane from the "A" (A~ricul- <br />tural~ District ~o t~e R-i-~0,000 (Single-family Residential) or R-1-20~000 (Single7 <br />family Residential) District. The C~y Council may r.ecommen~ any zoning for the <br />property consistent with the General Plan <br /> <br />On the basis of an Initial Study of the potential environmental impacts of the <br />projects. the Director of Planning and Community Development has determined that <br />the proposed project would not have any potential significant adverse effects on <br />the environment and that an environmental impact report need not be prepared. <br />This Initial Stud~ is available for review at the Planning Division~ 200 Bernal <br />Avenue~ Pleasanton. Comments on this decision may be directed to either the Plan- <br />nin8 staff prior to the above meetins date~ or.~i~ctly to the City Council at the <br />above noticed meeting <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 82:102) dated March 15, 1982, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative <br />declaration. <br /> <br /> Ms. Charlotte Jones, 1725 Rose Avenue, requested that she get back 16 feet of the <br />road in order to be able to zone the property to R-I-20,000. Mr. Harris advised that <br />staff is recommending this property be zoned PUD Residential, which will allow flex- <br />ibility in development of the property. Ms. Jones concurred with this. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke tn opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br />on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 82-100, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate to <br />fezone approximately 4.5 acres of land located at the northwest corner of Rose Avenue <br />and Rose Lane from the "A" (Agricultural) District to the PUD-Medium Density Resi- <br />dential District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> 3. 3/23/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
