355 <br /> <br /> Mr. David Herndon, Livermore, Director of Retired Residents, stated he felt <br /> this request should be supported. He advised that this type of housing is greatly <br /> needed in Pleasanton; that Pleasanton citizens are sometimes required to rent <br /> places in Livermore because of the shortage in Pleasanton. He added that this <br /> project is desirable and should be reconsidered. <br /> <br /> Mr. James Griffen, 3036 Chardonnay Drive, stated that after looking at the <br /> changes presented he still has concerns regarding density and adverse traffic <br /> impacts. He stated he strongly objected to the modification for the same reasons <br /> as presented against the old plan. <br /> <br /> Mr. David Ash, 615 Orofino Court, voiced opposition to this proposed revised <br /> project. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Kephart, that the revised plan be found to be a substantial change from the <br />application denied earlier and that Mr. Ed Parfish be allowed to file a new appli- <br />cation, including new application fees and public hearings before the Planning Com- <br />mission and the City Council. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart requested this item be considered by the Planning Commis- <br />sion at their next meeting in order that it could come back before Council on April <br />6, 1982, so that he would be able to participate in this matter, before expiration <br />of his term as Councilmember. <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Board of Adjustment at their meetins of 2-24-82 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 82:81) dated February 26, 1982, regarding <br />this matter for the information of the Council. No action was required or taken <br />by Council on this item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Growth Management Plan Implementation - <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 82:94) datedMarch 4, 1982, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mohr, that Resolution No. 82-87, amending the Resolution of Fees and Charges <br />by establishing growth management program application fees in accordance with the <br />staff recommendation, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />the City Council set a public hearing for April 6, 1982, 8:00 p.m., Pleasanton <br />Council Chambers, to set target number of units for 1982; determine number of units <br />to be set aside for lower income housing; determine number of units to be made <br />available for smaller projects; determine maximum number of units allowed for each <br />smaller project; and set dates for receipt of applications for smaller projects. <br /> <br /> 8. 3/9/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
