Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 82:2) dated January 5, 1982, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative <br /> declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Vic Lund, applicant, asked for a favorable response to this application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pat Milne, 5525 San Antonio, President of the Mission Park Homeowners Asso- <br /> ciation, stated this group supports the annexation and density and feels it will be <br /> in the best interest of the City, the Homeowners Association, and the developer. He <br /> stated this group has concerns regarding the circulation pattern and requested that <br /> a condition be added to require the main entrance and exit to this development be on <br /> Pico Avenue, and not through Mission Park. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br /> on the application and the negative declaration. <br />~ It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and secondeA by Councilmember Butler, that <br /> Resolution No. 82-10, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br /> study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br /> outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate to <br /> prezone two parcels totalling approximately 250 acres at the eastern terminus of <br /> Junipero Street to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Low Density Residential/Open <br /> Space District, be adopted. <br />._ The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated she concurred with the Mission Park Homeowners that a <br /> condition should be added at this time requiring the developer to locate the main <br /> entrance and exit to this development on Pico Avenue. <br /> <br /> The City Attorney advised the condition could be added now, or later on at the <br /> development plan stage. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, to <br /> approve the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone two parcels totalling <br /> approximately 250 acres at the'eastern terminus of Junipero Street to the PUD (Planned <br /> Unit Development)-Low Density Residential/Open Space District, subject to the condi- <br /> tion that the main entrance to the development be located on Pico Avenue and not <br /> through Mission Park. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmember Mohr <br /> NOES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer and Councilmembers Butler and Kephart stated they felt this was not <br /> the appropriate time to add conditions, even though they were in favor of the condi- <br /> tion. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that <br /> Ordinance No. 1017, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br /> approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone two parcels totalling <br /> <br /> 9. 1/12/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
