<br /> Hr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Public Works and Utilities
<br /> (SR 82:15) dated January 6, 1982, regarding this matter.

<br /> Mr. Don Btssell, of Bissell and Karn, representing the applicant, presented a
<br /> drawing showing the proximity of this property which is not contiguous to the City.
<br /> He stated the Moller's are willing to annex 10-15 acres of their property which is
<br /> adjacent to the subject property, to allow access to the Schwerin property, but he
<br /> did not have a formal letter from them at this time to confirm this transaction.
<br />
<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council-
<br />~ member Kephart, to continue this item to the meeting of January 26, 1982, and in-
<br /> structed staff to obtain more detailed information relative to the possible Moller
<br />T~ annexation in conjunction with the Schwerin property, and to make a new recommenda-
<br />CO tion relative to this matter.

<br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager (SR 82:17)

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, ap-
<br /> - proving the Notice of Election for two councilmembers, to be held on April 13, 1982,
<br /> and including the wording of Measure A - "Do you favor construction by the State of
<br /> California of the peripheral canal?", and approving the following dates for submis-
<br /> sion of ballot arguments: Direct arguments - 5:00 p.m., January 26, 1982; Rebuttal
<br /> arguments - 5:00 p. m., February 2, 1982.

<br /> ing staff to begin the process to fill the expiring position on the Housing Authority
<br /> Board as follows: (1) January 16-29, 1982, advertise the availability of the posi-
<br /> tion and invite interested citizens to apply; (2) February 9, 1982, interview appli-
<br /> cants prior to Council meeting; and (3) February 9, 1982, make appointment to Housing
<br /> Authority Board.

<br /> Mayor Mercer presented the Information Report of the Director of Public Works

<br /> Staff Traffic Committee Meeting of December 16, 1981. .Mayor Mercer requested the
<br /> Staff Traffic Committee to review and make recommendations relative to placing
<br /> stop signs at Valley and Crestline, and at Valley and Blackbird.
