237 <br /> <br /> Mr. Art Dunkley, representing Castlewood Properties, thanked City staff, the <br />Mohr/Martin residents, Planning Commission, and City Council for their studies of <br />this area over the last 1~ years. He stated he concurs with recommendations from <br />staff and Planning Commission; and asked that condition 8 which pertains to requir- <br />ing the property to be in the North Pleasanton water assessment district, be deleted <br />as recommended by staff. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. _ <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed on the application and the nega- <br />tive declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 82-488, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate for <br />rezoning to allow a phased mixed density residential project on approximately 58 acres <br />of land located at the northeast corner of Oakland and Mohr Avenues, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council- <br />member Wood, that Ordinance No. 1064, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, approving the application of Castlewood Properties, Inc., Everett <br />and Dixie Kamp, Merle and Paul Kral, and Helen Crouch, for rezoning to allow a phased <br />mixed density residential project on approximately 58 acres of land located at the <br />northeast corner of Oakland and Mohr Avenues, subject to all conditions contained in <br />Planning Commission Resolution No. 2181, except deleting condition No. 8 which would <br />require the property to be in the North Pleasanton water assessment district, be <br />introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone (Annexation No. 91) an approximately <br />35 acre site located immediately northwest of the intersection of Martin and Mohr <br />Avenues to the PUD (Planned Unit Deve!opment)-Low Density Residential District or <br />any other zoniq5 district consistent with the General Plan <br /> <br />Consider adoption of Negative Declaration <br />(Contd. Open from 7-13-82 and 8-24-82) <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 82:487) dated December 7, 1982, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on the application, and stated the <br />negative declaration has previously been approved. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dean Wagerman, 2333 Martin, representing the seven property owners involved <br />in this application, stated he concurs with the Planning Commission recommendations, <br />and he asked for approval by City Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. A1 Wiemken, Trenery Drive, stated he had concerns regarding development in <br />this area relative to roads, traffic, density, and size of lots. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> 8. 12/13/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
