.I 353 <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Ordinance No. 1061, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone <br />portions of two parcels of land located at the northwest corner of Johnson <br />Drive and Hopyard Road in the following manner: <br /> <br /> 6,395 sq.ft. of a'portion of Pleasanton Business Park located <br /> immediately westerly of the site occupied by the Hungry Hunter <br /> Restaurant from PUD (Planned Unit Development) Industrial/Commercial <br /> and Offices District to the C-F (Commercial Freeway) Distriat; and <br /> <br /> 10,146 sq.ft. of a portion of Pleasanton Business Park located <br /> immediately north and west of the site occupied by Denny's <br /> Restaurant from PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial/Commercial <br /> and Offices Distridt to the C-F (Commercial Freeway) District, <br /> <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1056 approving the application of Ken Earp, et al, <br />for Planned Unit Development (PUD) development plan .approval for an approximately <br />238 unit manufactured housing project for an approximately 29 acre site located <br />on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Sauterne Way <br /> Mr. Frank Sieglitz, representing the developer, indicated he had no problems <br />with the staff recommendations. <br /> Mr. Steven Wexler, 647 Orofino Court, spoke in opposition to the project. <br />He feels Council is not representing the wishes of the residents and was in <br />error in adopting the negative declaration. He requested an EIR be prepared. <br /> Melinda Lance, 592 Tawny Drive, inquired regarding the comments of East <br />Bay Regional Park District prior to 1980. Staff indicated they had reviewed <br />these comments and had mitigated those concerns deemed significant. <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira Drive, also stressed the need for an EIR <br />and indicated numerous other agencies should have been consulted regarding <br />this project. <br /> Ms. Melinda Lance again spoke and stressed that approval of this project <br />is irrevocable and should be considered carefully. She was concerned about <br />the arroyo and high density development near a water area. <br /> Council then discussed the staff report (82:475) and the concerns regarding <br />Dr. Porter's property and easements. <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that Resolution No. 82-469, approving the connection of the Porter property <br />to the city sewer and water systems with a preannexation agreement, and <br />approving utility connections provided st~ff include appropriate conditions <br />of approval on the tentative map for the Quail Creek project to require the <br />clearing of the Porter easements, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr and Wood <br />NOES: Councilmember Mercer and Butler <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 8. 11/23/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
