· 35-5 <br /> <br />Approval of the Revised Master Plan and Preliminary Development Plan for <br />Phase IV, Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park (Front 20 Acres) <br /> There being no questions from the Council, Mayor Butler opened the <br />public hearing. <br /> Mr. Dan Mahoney, 2820 Longspur Way, expressed concern about lighting <br />the rear portion of the park so that it does not shine into the upper story <br />bedrooms of the residents. <br /> Mr. Dave Von Ruten, of Ruth & Going (designers of the project), went over <br />the plans in detail, including the lighting. <br /> Julie Lane, 2017 Kilkare Road, expressed approval of the plan and is <br />pleased with the City's concern for the parks. <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing <br />closed on this item. <br /> Council discussed the proposal and Councilmember Brandes indicated <br />Alternative A was totally satisfactory, but would like to have the alternative <br />"C-i" regarding public restrooms added. <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 82-466, determining on the basis of a review of initial <br />environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental <br />impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative <br />declaration is appropriate for approval of the Revised Master Plan and Preliminary <br />Development Plan for Phase IV, Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park (Front 20 <br />Acres), be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Resolution No. 82-467, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton <br />for approval of the Revised Master Plan and Preliminary Development Plan for <br />Phase IV, Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park, Alternative A (Master Plan), <br />and Alternative C (first phase development plans) with the addition of "C-i", <br />provision of public restrooms, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone portions of two parcels of land <br />located at the northwest corner of Johnson Drive and Hopyard Road occupied by <br />Hungry Hunter and Denny's Restaurants <br /> The public hearing was opened on this application and there being no <br />testimony forthcoming, the public hearing was then closed. <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Resolution No. 82-468, determining on the bases of a review of initial <br />environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental <br />impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative <br />Declaration is appropriate for the rezoning of portions of two parcels of <br />land located at the northwest corner of Johnson Drive and Hopyard Road, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes Mercer, Wood and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br /> 7. 11/23/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
