It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 83-548, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate to <br />approve the application of Amador Valley Investors to fezone approximately 21.7 acres <br />located approximately 1650 feet east of the existing eastern terminus of West Las <br />Positas Boulevard from the "A" (Agricultural) to the R-1-6500 (Single-family Resi- <br />dential) District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes,, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ~t was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Ordinance No. 1118, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving the application of Amador Valley Investors to fezone approximately 21.7 <br />acres located approximately 1650 feet east of the existing eastern terminus of West <br />Las Positas Boulevard from the "A" ~Agricultural) to the R-1-6500 (Single-family <br />Residential) District, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton for design review approval of an approximately <br />12,000 sq. ft. fire station and related facilities on an approximately 0.86 acre <br />site located on the east side of Stoneridge Mall Road approximatel~ 650 feet north <br />of its intersection with Stoneridge Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development)-Commercial and Offices/High Density Residential and Open Space <br />District <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 83:552) dated November 30, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Joe Burkhardt, representing the property owners, stated he concurred with <br />the staff report. He asked that Council give consideration to the precise site plan <br />remaining flexible so as to be compatible with the surrounding development. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Bras, architect for the fire station, stated that a precise site loca- <br />tion is needed so that final plans for the fire station can be completed in order to <br />go ahead with the formation of the assessment district. He stated it is important <br />that the two entry ways at the fire station be compatible with traffic at the inter- <br />section with Stoneridge Drive. Mr. Bras advised that plans need to be completed <br />soon to be able to meet the completion date of occupancy scheduled for early 1985. <br /> <br /> Mr. Steve Hughes, 58? Touriga Court, asked if there is any plan to clear and <br />control traffic at the Stoneridge Drive intersection. Staff advised this matter <br />has been taken care of. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler delcared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> 17. 12/6/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
