After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by <br />Mayor Butler, that the application of Capital Conveyance Company to amend the general <br />plan land use designation on approximately 1.56 acres located on the north side of <br />Valley Avenue just east of the Hopyard Shopping Village from Public and Institutional <br />to Commercial and Offices, be approved. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmember Mohr and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, and Wood <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />the application of Capital Conveyance Company to amend the general plan land use <br />designation on approximately 1.56 acres located on the north side of Valley Avenue <br />just east of the Hopyard Shopping Village from Public and Institutional to Commercial <br />and Offices, be continued to the next hearing of general plan amendments in April, <br />1984, for additional information regarding this matter. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 83-547, consolidating the actions taken by Council regarding the above <br />eight applications for general plan amendment, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of Amador Valley Investors to rezone approximately 21.7 acres located <br />approximately 1650 feet east of the existin[ eastern terminus of West Las Positas <br />Boulevard from the "A" (Agricultural) to the R-1-6500. (~ingle-family Residential) <br />District or any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 83:555) dated November 30, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larry Bartelson, MacKay & Somps, representing the applicant, stated he con- <br />curred with the staff report and recommendation. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mike Grazaidei, 3955 Churchill Drive, stated he was neither for or against <br />the application; his main concerns are for West Las Positas Boulevard going through <br />Pleasanton Meadows. He stated there is a problem now with trucks coming out of <br />Hacienda Business Park who do not know that West Las Positas dead ends, then the <br />trucks have to turn around in a residential area, which creates a traffic hazard. <br />He asked if there could be some signing, or other means of keeping unauthorized <br />trucks out of the subdivision. Staff advised that trucks should not be traveling <br />on this street, and this matter can be controlled by the CC&R's placed on the Hacienda <br />Business Park. Council instructed that this regulation be enforced. Mr. Grazaidei <br />stated he also had concerns ~egarding the traffic at Fairlands School, and asked if <br />a yellow flashing light could be erected near the school to slow down traffic. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> 16. 12/6/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
