Councilmember Wood stated he shared those concerns. Mayor Butler stated he disagreed; he did not feel there has been any difficulty with minor modifications and would like to continue as Council has been doing in the past. Councilmember Brandes stated he felt Council should review any items that may be controversial. Mr. Harris explained that Council would receive notification for administrative modifications, to be included in the next Council packet as an informational item so that Council can determine if they want to discuss any item. He stated that addi- tional documentation will be available at the Council meeting for review by Council if they so desire. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- member Brandes, that Council retain the PUD ordinance as presently written, and that staff include notification of future minor modifications in City Council packets. Approval to Participate in the Zone 7 Trail Master Plan and Contribute $3,000 Toward the Project Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Recreation and Human Resources (SR 83:412) dated September 22, 1983, regarding this matter. Councilmember Mercer stated that the City of Pleasanton had already paid for a Zone 7 Master Plan of the flood channels Within the City of Pleasanton for a trail system within Zone 7. He advised this was completed when he was a member of the Park and Recreation Commission. He stated that Zone 7 has approximately 11 million dollars in the bank and he did not feel the City of Pleasanton should contribute any funds towards another trail system study. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- member Brandes, that the City of Pleasanton does not object to a master plan study for trailsalong flood control channels but does not wish to contribute $3,000 to Zone 7 toward the project.
