· 169 <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 83-423, approving the long term agreement with Stoneson Development <br /> Corporation, and authorizing execution of the agreement by the appropriate city <br /> officials, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Long Term Agreement with George Oakes <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 83:408) dated September 22, 1983, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 83-424, approving the long term agreement with George Oakes, and auth- <br />orizing execution of the agreement by the appropriate city officials, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report on Possible Violation of Noise Ordinance by Interstate Industrial Laundry <br /> Mr. MacDonald requested this item be continued to the meeting of October 11, 1983, <br />for additional opportunity for the neighbors and the nuclear laundry to work out a <br />solution. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated that one of the resolutions being presented at the <br />League of California Cities Conference in San Francisco October 2-5, 1983, is a <br />resolution by the City of Beverly Hills which relates to competition of telephone <br />companies but excludes PT&T. He stated he is opposed to this resolution and would <br />like permission to vote against it at the League Conference. He elaborated on the <br />reasons for his opposition to the proposed resolution, stating that in the long term <br />it would cost the user triple what he is paying for his bill now. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor <br />Butler, that Resolution No. 83-425, opposing the resolution presented by the City of <br />Beverly Hills regarding telephone company competition, and authorizing the City of <br />Pleasanton voting delegate at the League of California Cities Conference to vote in <br />opposition to the subject resolution, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilmember Mercer <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY(Contd.) <br />Development Deferment Agreement with Mozart Development CompanX and Stoneson <br />Development Company <br />'(Contd. from 9-13-83) <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 83:410) dated September 22, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. He stated the developers have not yet concurred with the agreement and <br />would like several language changes. He also advised that the mitigation measures <br />agreement has not been completed. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler asked the developer if he would like to continue the matter to the <br />next meeting to allow time to get the agreements in order.
