He advised that the Chamber is re- <br /> questing that Parade Route I be approved, which is the longer of the city's two <br /> parade routes and which will result in greater overtime costs to the City. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes that the Heritage Days parade permit <br /> application be approved using Parade Route No. II. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br /> Resolution No. 83-369, approving the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce Heritage Days <br /> parade permit application, to be held on September 17, 1983, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., <br /> allowing use of Parade Route No. I; amending the city budget by approximately $1,200 <br /> to cover costs incurred because of this event; and requiring the sponsor to comply <br /> with the city conditions set forth in Section IV of staff report 83:355, dated <br />_ August 23, 1983, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Approval of Final Map and Improvement Plans and A~reement for Tract 4940? Deer Oaks~ <br /> Phase II.., Deer Oaks Land ~?mpany <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:340) dated August 18, 1983, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lee Henderson, 2870 Foothill, presented his letter to Council, dated August <br /> 23, 1983, expressing opposition to this item, stating that some lots will have a <br /> slope greater than 25%, which is not in conformance with city ordinances. He stated <br /> that the driveways to lots 9, 10 and Juhl is only 16 feet wide, resulting in a narrow <br /> and unacceptable situation. He requested that lots 9 and 10 in this tract be termi- <br /> nated as being too steep and earthquake risky. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bob Okamura, Assistant City Engineer, stated he has reviewed the files and <br /> finds that every lot conforms to city requirements and that the grading plan is <br /> proper. He recommended approval of the final map and improvement plans. Mr. Warnick <br /> stated he is satisfied with the recommendations of staff and would also recommend <br /> approval of this item as it meets all criteria established by city standards. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br /> Resolution No. 83-370, approving final map, improvement plans, and Subdivision Agree- <br /> ment for Tract 4940, Deer Oaks, Phase II, Deer Oaks Land Company, and authorizing <br /> execution of the agreement by the appropriate city officials, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 9, 8/23/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
