Councilmember Mohr left her motion as originally stated. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler withdrew his second to the motion. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded <br />by Councilmember Wood, that the City Council make the following findings: that <br />Council has read and considered the EIR prepared for the overall Hacienda Business <br />Park Project; (2) that the environmental effects of the project are adequately <br />covered by the prior Hacienda EIR and~ in fact, overstate the potential impacts <br />because the full Hacienda Business Park cannot be built without a General Plan <br />change; (3) that the potential cumulative environmental effects are those enumerated <br />in the draft Exhibit "B" of the staff report but that the conditions of approval <br />minimize these effects and any remaining effects are outweighed by the projects <br />benefits, all as enumerated in the staff report, attachments, and testimony given <br />at this meeting; and (4) that based on the best estimate of the jobs/housing bal- <br />ance in Pleasanton given development of this project and all other approved projects, <br />the project is consistent with the balanced growth policies contained in the Growth <br />Management Element of the General Plan and is also consistent with all other policies <br />of the General Plan; and that the draft resolution, with the technical amendments <br />indicated earlier by the Assistant City Attorney to Section 5 and Exhibit A, approving <br />Case Z-83-110, the design of two industrial/office buildings, totalling approximately <br />110,000 sq. ft. and related facilities on an approximately 6.6 acre site located on <br />the south side of West Las Positas Boulevard, southeast of its intersection with <br />Hacienda Drive in the Hacienda Business Park, subject to all conditions contained in <br />Staff Report 83:321, dated August 1, 1983, be adopted as Resolution No. 83-346. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmember Mohr <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mercer <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated she was not opposed to the design of the buildings but <br />felt the recommendation from the Transportation Subcommittee for a bike-pedestrian <br />bridge over the Arroyo M6cho should be included in the project. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that the Transportation Subcommittee meet with <br />the Park and Recreation Commission to review the bike-pedestrian bridge, and to <br />make specific recommendations to the Council for further consideration relative to <br />pedestrian and vehicular access into the Sports Park. Council concurred. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1095, approving the application of Shelter Capital/Woodmont <br />Companies and Sid Cottie for PUD (Planned Unit Development')-High Density Residential <br />zoning and development plan approval of a 200 unit garden apartment project on an <br />approximately 11 acre site located immediately south of t~e. Arroyo Mocho, approxi- <br />mately 1500 feet east of the intersection of Santa Rita Road and the Arroyo Mocho <br />Canal <br />(I~t~6. 7-2~L83, 4-Ayes, 1-Absent) <br /> Mayor Butler stated that Ordinance No. 1095 was introduced on July 26, 1983, by <br />a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr~ and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Ordinance No. 1095, approving the application of Shelter Capital/Woodmont Companies <br />and Sid Cottie for PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential zoning and <br />development plan approval of a 200 unit garden apartment project on an approximately <br />11 acre site located immediately south of the Arroyo Mocho, approximately south of <br />the Arroyo Mocho, approximately 1500 feet east of the intersection of Santa Rita Road <br />and the Arroyo Mocho Canal, be adopted. <br /> 12. 8/9/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
