He recommended additional money be allocated to <br />repair street, and for the fire department. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Council- <br />member Wood, that Resolution No. 83-258, approving the Fiscal Year 1983-84 Budget as <br />submitted, with the following amendments: <br /> <br /> · Downtown Area - Design Guidelines Study <br /> (Planning Department) $25,000 <br /> <br /> · Keystone Valve (Fire Department) 3,200 <br /> <br /> Two (2) Police Clerks and related uniform expense; <br /> and one (1) Crossing Guard at Parkside Drive <br /> (Police Department) 54,033 <br /> <br /> . Backhoe Tractor (Street) 35,000 <br /> Five (S) additional part-time summer employees (Parks) 8,000 <br /> <br /> One (1) additional clerical position for Business License <br /> Enforcement (Administrative Services) 20,000 <br /> <br /> · Move the acquisition of land for the Vineyard Avenue Psmk <br /> of $250,000 from the 1983-84 FY Capital Improvement Program <br /> to the 198b-85 FY Budget <br /> <br /> ·Energize all turned off street lights, and pay for those <br /> now being paid for by private citizens <br /> <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, and Wood <br />NOES: Vice Mayor Mercer <br />A~SENT: Mayor Butler <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmen~ber Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 83-259, approving the Three Year Capital Improvement Program, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Butler <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />directing the City Manager to investigate the feasibility of a contract program <br />for park maintenance, and to report back to Council regarding this matter. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: F~ayor Butler <br /> <br />New Street Names in Civic Center Area <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 83:233) dated June 22, 1983, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> 9. 6/28/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
