<br /> particularly two of the worst and most heavily traveled, Dorman Dr. and Denker
<br /> Dr., plus other streets in this area. These streets are becoming big safety
<br /> hazards. We demand that your attention be directed towards resolving this
<br /> matter as soon as possible before the problem becomes worse than it is."

<br /> Resolution No. 83-262, approving street repairs in the Denker Drive-Dorman Road area
<br /> and amending the proposed 1983-84 Street Capital Improvement Program as follows: (a)
<br /> change the appropriation for Del Valle Parkway Extension (Project 22) from $260,000
<br /> to $I00,000; and (b) increase appropriation for Resurfacing Various Street (Project
<br /> 11) from $100,000 to $295,000, be adopted.

<br />[D Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:245) dated June 23, 1983, regarding this

<br />~ It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that
<br />~[ Resolution No. 83-263, approving agreement with Camp, Dresser and McKee, Inc. (CDM)
<br /> for performing a study of the City's water and telemetry control system, for an
<br /> estimated cost of $8,000.00 in a period of four weeks, be adopted.

<br /> suant to Government Code Section 37906 at the following locations: (1) Kottinger
<br /> Reservoir/Wells 5 and 6 near Alisal School; and (2) Santos Ranch Reservoir (510)/
<br /> Well 7 at Valley Avenue and Hopyard Road, - and authorize the appropriation of $10,000
<br /> for a Water Capital Improvement Project for interim controls, be adopted.

<br /> Vice Mayor Mercer stated this item was continued from the meeting of June 14, 1983.
<br /> He presented a letter from the Chamber of Commerce dated June 28, 1983, requesting that
<br /> this item be continued to the meeting of July 12, 1983, to allow their Board additional
<br /> time to review information they have received regarding this matter.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that
<br /> Ordinance No. 1091, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof,
<br /> approving the City of Pleasanton hotel-motel tax be increased from 5% to 8% effective
<br /> September 1, 1983, be introduced.
