283 <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Mercer stated he would be voting YES on this item even though he is <br /> in opposition to it, in order that the ordinance can be adopted. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br /> Ordinance ~o. 1090, amending various sewer related rates, fees and charges, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Butler <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no special reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Design Review Board and Planning Commission at their meeting <br />of 6-22-83 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 83:253) dated June 22, 1983, regarding this <br />matter for the information of the Council. Council took action earlier in the meeting <br />appealing the decision of the Planning Commission in approving Z-83-111, application <br />of Arnold Kruse for zoning certificate approval to allow a home occupation involving <br />periodically keeping a vehicle in excess of one ton (a truck tractor) incidental to a <br />long hauling business at 4363 Second Street. No additional Council action was taken <br />re~arding this item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Authorization to ~egotiate A~reement with School District to Allow Continued Public <br />Use of Pleasanton School Multipurpose Room~ Tennis Courts, and Upper Field <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Recreation and Human Resources <br /> (SR 83:252) dated June 23, 1983, regarding this matter, <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, authorizi- <br />ing staff to negotiate an agreement with the Pleasanton School District to allow con- <br />tinued public access to the multipurpose room (gym), tennis courts, and upper field. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mercer <br />~OES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Butler <br /> <br />Review of Bids and Sale of Surplus City Property on the Northeast Corner of Peters <br />Avenue and Bernai Avenue <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:244) dated June 22, 1983, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 83-261, after review of bid, accept the bid submitted by Messrs. <br />Caroline and Gooch in the amount of $47,280.00, and directing staff t6 prepare the <br />necessary paperwork to transfer the property, including authorization to the Mayor so <br />that he may sign the appropriate documents, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Butler <br /> <br />Estimated Cost of ReDairs for Denker Drive and Dorman Road <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:243) dated June 22, 1983, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Ms. iIancy Olheiser, 4432 Denker Drive, presented a petition to Council, signed by <br />40 residents, which reas as follows: <br /> 11. 6/28/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
