331 <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to the matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> Resolution No. 83-214, approving the plans and agreement for improvements of Stone- <br /> ridge Drive between Hopyard Road and Johnson Drive and installation of a 30 inch <br /> sewer line, authorizing the Mayor to enter into the street improvement agreement for <br /> Stoneridge Drive, and directing the Engineer-of-work for the North Pleasanton Im- <br /> provement District, Mark Thomas, Inc., to spread the District costs for the 30 inch <br /> sewer line among only those parcels directly benefitting from the sewer, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Approval ~f Plans and Specifications and A~reement for Old Santa Rita Road Improve- <br />ments between Santa Rita Road and 1-580 <br /> <br /> Consider Adoption of Mitigated NeKative Declaration <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:187) dated May 18, 1983, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on the application and the mitigated <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of the item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Glenn Cravett, 6501 Leggitt Drive, Oakland, owner of the shopping center on <br />Old Santa Rita Road, stated there is an extreme parking problem at this center. He <br />advised that tenants and their employees have been encouraged to park on the side <br />road along Old Santa Rita Road, but these improvements could eliminate this available <br />parking. He asked for consideration of any additional parking spaces that could be <br />created or not eliminated. Council and staff discussed possible solutions to the <br />parking problem at this location. <br /> <br /> Ms. Carole Lampson, 3910 Pinlico, operator of Phase II in the Old Santa Rita Road <br />shopping center, stated she employees 13 people and at this time they park along the <br />side road. She stated there is not sufficient parking and requested that something <br />be done to provide for more parking spaces. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed <br />on the application and the mitigated negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 83-215, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a mitigated negative declaration is appro- <br />priate for Old Santa Rita Road Improvements between Santa Rita Road and 1-580, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> lS. 5/24/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
