After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- <br />member Wood, to fund projects by the New Federal Job Bill as follows: (1) Housing <br />Authority - $8,700; (2) Pleasanton Gardens public works pro~ect - $35,000 to $44,400; <br />(3) Kaleidoscope Center - $11,000; (4) Anthropos Foundation - $10,000; and with any <br />balance of funds remaining from the Pleasanton Gardens public works project being <br />allocated to the KaleidOscope Center. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer and Wood <br />NOES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, and Mayor Butler <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes to approve recommendations as presented by <br />staff in Staff Report SR 83:114. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 83-190, to fund projects by the New Federal Job Bill as follows: (1) <br />Housing Authority - Kottinger Place roof repairs - $8,700; (2) Pleasanton Gardens <br />public works project to solve flooding problems - $35,000 up to $44,400; and (3) <br />Kaleidoscope Center - $21,000, and with any remaining funds from the Pleasanton Gardens <br />public works project being designated to be allocated to the Kaleidoscope Center, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr left the meeting at 9:45 P.M, <br /> <br />Rev!e~ Prelimina.ry Plans for Expansion of Civic Center Building <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 83:172) dated May 5, 1983, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />approving the preliminary plans for expansion of the Civic Center, and authorizing <br />the architect, Michael Goldsworthy, to proceed with preparation of the working <br />drawings. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr returned to the meeting at 9:50 P.M. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his Information Report (IR 83:11) dated May 4, 1983, trans- <br />mitting the Minutes from the Staff Traffic Committee meeting of April 18, 1983. No <br />actions was required or taken by Council on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker presented the City Council Agenda Planning Report for the months of <br />May, June, and July, for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harris presented his Information Report (IR 83:10) dated May 4, 1983, regarding <br />Santa Rita Rehabilitation Center replacement of facilities draft negative declaration <br />for the information of the Council.
