'. 121 <br /> <br /> accompanying negative declaration. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Council requested this item be scheduled as the first item under Public Hearings. <br /> <br /> Hearing of obiections. by property owners to the proposed removal and abatement of <br /> nuisance caused bX noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon or in front of property <br /> owned by them in the City of Pleasanton <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 83:158) dated May 3, 1983, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br /> Resolution No. 83-187, after hearing no protests to the Weed Abatement Program for <br /> 1983, authorize the appropriate staff members to proceed with the abatement of the <br /> nuisance caused by noxious or dangerous weeds growing on certain properties in the <br /> City of Pleasanton as more particularly set forth in Exhibit A of City Council Reso- <br /> lution No. 83-150, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br />Amador-Livermore Valley Historical Soclety~ Re: Police Building <br /> Mayor Butler presented a letter from the Amador-Livermore Valley Historical Society <br />dated April 21, 1983, formally expressing their interest in obtaining the former <br />Pleasanton City Hall, 603 Main Street, for use as the Society's Museum when it is <br />vacated by the Police Department. He also presented letters from the Pleasanton Down- <br />town Association dated May 3, 1984, and the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council dated May <br />4, 1983, supporting the use of the 01d Police Building by the Amador-Livermore Valley <br />Historical Society. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Council instructed staff to bring back a report on May 24th with <br />an appraisal of the property and listing various alternatives for use of the building <br />as well as estimate figures for upgrading the building to standard codes. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Design Review Board and Planning Commission at their meeting <br />of April 27,_ 1983 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 83:156) dated May 2, 1983, regarding this <br />matter for the information of the Council.
