Councilmember Brandes stated that a letter had been received from the Director
of Planning and Community Development regarding minor modifications to PUD-81-32,
the application submitted by Harris Realty Company for a 61 unit townhouse develop-
ment on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Amador Court, and asking if
Council would like to review this matter. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes,
and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that the minor modifications to PUD-81-32, for
a 61 unit townhouse development on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Amador
Court, be reviewed by City Council,
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

Mayor Butler stated he had received a letter from Senator Lockyet related to
Senate Concurrent Resolution 5, introduced by Senator Petris, which would change the
name of Freeway 1-580 to Arthur H. Breed, Jr., Freeway, and requesting that Council
comment on the proposed change. Council took no action regarding this ma~ter.

Mayor Butler advised he had received a letter from Supervisor Excell, written to
all Mayors of Alameda County as well as Contra Costa County, relative to a Regional
Planning Agency to discuss long range planning on such items as transportation, traffic,
and wastewater treatment. Councilmember Wood stated he strongly supports the formation
of such a committee and feels that Pleasanton can benefit greatly from the results of
this type of interaction. Councilmember Mohr stated she supports Councilmember Wood
regarding intergovernmental relations and communications and would be willing to serve
on the committee. Councilmember Brandes stated the City is trying hard to maintain its
identity and he would like to see more specific procedures of the proposed committee
before the City becoming officially involved in it. Councilmeier Mercer stated he
would be in favor of Councilmembers Mohr and Wood attending a meeting with the Super-
visors and other agencies to find out what the committee is all about and then deter-
mine if the City should participate. Mayor Butler concurred, and stated that Council-
members Mohr and Wood could voluntarily attend the meeting referred to in the letter
from Supervisor Excell and report back to Council regarding the structure, makeups
and topics of the proposed committee, before taking any formal action as to City par-
ticipation in a Regional Planning Agency.

CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS
Councilmember Brandes suggested that Council adopt the rules, regulations, and
procedures relative to the Citizens Cable T.V. Advisory Committee. He advised these
have already been approved by the cities of Livermore and Dublin. He stated that
representatives from Pleasanton should be formally appointed to this committee. After
discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr,
that Resolution No. 83-89, approving rules and regulations for the Citizens Cable T.V.
Advisory Committee; appointing Charlotte Severin, DeWitt Ault, and Julia Casamajor as
Pleasantonts representatives on this committee for a four year term each, said term to
expire March 8, 1987, with possible extension of one full term; and instructing that
the franchise holder be notified in writing of all meetings of this committee, be
adopted.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler ~
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

Councilmember Mohr advised that the ABAG General Assembly is scheduled to meet
March 18, 1983.
