Open from 10-30-84 and 11-27-84) <br /> Mayor Mercer presented a letter from the Clorox Company, requesting that their <br />appeafbe withdrawn. <br /> <br /> Mr. Warnick stated that for record purposes, corrections must be made to the latest <br />cost estimate figures. The new figures are higher: $46,000 per acre for freeway, <br />$4,300 per acre for fire, $6,000 per acre for water, and $15,000 per acre for roadway, <br />with a total of $71,300 per acre for their 5.72 acres, a total of $423,000. All con- <br />cerned will be notified by letter. <br /> <br /> There being no further discussion, Mayor Mercer declared this item withdrawn from <br />the agenda, with no action required or taken by Council on the matter. <br /> <br />PUD-84-13, Application of Castlewood Properties, Inc., to prezo~e an approximately 8.8 <br />acre site to PUD (Planned Unit Deve!opment)-High Density Residential and "A" (A~ricul- <br />tural) Districts and for DeveloOment Plan ammrova! for an 84 unit multi-family resi- <br />dential complex and proposed City/park on the site located on the east side of Bernal <br />Avenue between Tawny Drive and Vineyard Avenue <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br />(Contd. Open from 11-27-84) <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:626) dated November 27, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the continued public hearing open on the application and the <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Art Dunkley, 205 Main Street, representing Castlewood Properties, gave a pre- <br />sentation on the proposed project~ using drawings. He indicated that he would not <br />insist upon a decision at this meeting, but would like input from the Council and <br />audience so that he can move ahead. <br /> <br /> Mr. Chuck Muth, 3644 Vine Street, expressed his concerns regarding the need for <br />a larger park and better parking facilities. He requested that Council make a decision <br />not to accept the offer of the 84 units until the park size is decided, and the staff <br />report is brought to Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ron Schneider, 650 Orofino Court, President of the Vintage Hills Homeowners <br />Association, restated issues in a letter sent to Council requesting a larger park, an <br />evaluation of the density should be made, and that after project approval, that home- <br />owners have the plans accessible for their viewing. They would like to review the <br />plans in their final form and make recommendations. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brad Hoyt, 546 Touriga Court, stated that he feels that the developer is very <br />close to a good plan. He feels that the densit~ is too high and would like a larger <br />park area allowing for barbeques and a tot lot. He feels that one unit could be <br />eliminated allowing the park space to be larger, and would like to eliminate the <br />access in the back of the unit. <br /> 5. 12/11/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
