119 <br /> <br /> Ms. Lewis, 4~51 Fairlands, stated she concurs with the staff report. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Council take no action on the Environmental Awareness Program at this time but return <br />the proposal to the Park and Recreation Commission and staff to be considered and <br />prioritized along with other needs in the Fiscal Year 1985-86 budget process. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Proposed Resolution to Remove Parking Restriction on Tawny Drive <br />(Contd. from 10-30-84) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated this item was continued from the meeting of October 30, 1984, <br />at the request of Mr. Belecky, representing Vintage Hills Homeowners. <br /> <br /> Mr. Eric Swenson~ 750 St. Michaels Circle, stated he is a resident in this area, <br />feels there is adequate parking, and opposes the allowance of parking on Tawny Drive. <br />He stated there is lots of traffic as well as bike and skateboard riders, and that <br />parking on this street would create a dangerous situation. He stated the original <br />letter sent making the request to allow parking was not the consensus of the homeowners <br />organization. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira Drive, presented a letter from Ron Schneider, Presi- <br />dent of the Vintage Hills Homeowners Association, objecting to any parking of vehicles <br />on Tawny Avenue between Norton Way and Bernal Avenue, and listing reasons for the oppo- <br />sition. Mr. Belecky stated there are parking spaces at the rear of the Flair Market <br />that might possibly be used if needed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and secondedby Council- <br />member Wood, that parking restrictions remain on Tawny Drive as presently posted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated he is concerned about the new development behind Flair <br />Market; residents of that particular project pull out onto Palomino where it lines up <br />with Concord Street without stopping. He stated there is a stop sign in place. He re- <br />quested this regulation be enforced. <br /> <br />Consideration of Request from Gladys and Will Heinrich ~? Annex .~heir property at 3683 <br />Vineyard Avenue <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 8B:807) dated November 13, 1984, regarding <br />this matter. He advised that w~itten requests had been Deceived this date from Vine- <br />yard Avenue homeowners, Mr. g Mrs. Lapson and Mr. g Mrs. Alves, to be included in this <br />annexation process. He stated the inclusion of these two parcels with Mr. Heinrich~s <br />property would make a logical annexation to the City. <br /> <br /> Mr. Will Heinrich, applicant, stated he had contacted most of his neighbors but <br />that only the Larsons and Alves ape interested in annexation at this time. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Beverly Alves stated she had contacted the property owner at the corner on <br />Vineyard Avenue but that the owner was not interested in annexation. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, after <br />making the finding that the three parcels on Vineyard Avenue owned by Heinrich, Lawson, <br /> <br /> 8. 11/13/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
