117 <br /> <br /> Mr. Bill Hardy, 608 Abbie Street, stated he had seen this type of development <br />occur in Florida in the 1960's, which completely raped and ruined the area. He asked <br />Council to take a stand against this development, stating it is too dense for the <br />parcel, and which would adversely impact the neighborhood. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bill Denker, Old Towne, asked for denial of the application, stating it is <br />not appropriate for the area. He stated the streets are too narrow in this location <br />to accommodate further development. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lloyd Filbert, 557 E. Angela Street, stated he was opposed to the Olde Towne <br />development, and to have this .9 acre parcel go in with such high density is ridiculous. <br />He stated he concurred with the comments made by Mr. Gallegus. <br /> <br /> Ms. Nancy Kill, 440 Abbie Street, stated she does not like what is happening in <br />Pleasanton relative to development, and is strongly opposed to this project. She added <br />that traffic is unacceptable now. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br />on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Council- <br />member Wood, that Resolution No. 84-586, denying PUD-84-6, application of the Pleasanton <br />School District and Kenneth Chin for rezoning and development plan approval for a five <br />unit residential development on an approximately .9 acre site, located on the north side <br />of Abbie Street, between the 01d Towne development and the residences on the east side <br />of Whiting Street, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Because of the above action, no action was taken relative to adoption of the Nega- <br />tive Declaration. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />~doption of Ordinance No.,1167~ Approval of the applica~io~ of_OllireP Properties for <br />PUD (Planned Unit DevelopmeDt) zonmng and development plan apprqyal. for a 10 unit <br />clustered residential development proposed for the 0.98 acre site located at 123.Ray <br />Street <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1167 was introduced on October 30, 1984~ by <br />a vote of five ayes, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Ordinance No. 1167, approval of the application of Oltirep Properties for PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development) zoning and development plan approval for a 10 unit clustered resi- <br />dential development proposed for the 0.98 acre site located at 123 Ray Street, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Environmental Awareness Program Proposa~ <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Parks and Community Services <br />(SR 84:609) dated November 13, 1984, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> 7. 11/13/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
