making violation of the zoning code, the building code, the unsafe building code, the <br />plumbing code, the electrical code, the mechanical code, and the fire code an infrac- <br />tion rather than a misdemeanor, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Consider Ordinance Adopting Latest Edition of Uniform Codes including Building, <br />Administrative, Housing, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing,'Fire, and Abatement of <br />Dangerous Buildings <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 84:586) dated October 24, 1984, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1169, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />adopting by reference the 1982 editions of the uniform building code, the uniform <br />plumbing code, the uniform mechanical code, the uniform housing code, the uniform <br />code for the abatement of dangerous buildings, the uniform fire code, and the <br />national electrical code (1981 edition), and amending sections of the Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Pleasanton which adopt and modify those codes, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Growth Management Allocation - 1985 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:582) dated October 30, 1984, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding calculation of figures, senior citizens <br />housing project, vacancy rate figure, growth benchmarks, long term agreements for <br />large projects and protection for small developers. <br /> <br /> After further discussion, Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meet- <br />ing of November 27, 1984, and instructed staff to prepare a report regarding full <br />inventory of projects possible, additional proof of assumptions, and inclusion of <br />the senior citizens housing project, as well as options relative to long term agree- <br />ments with large developers and protection for small developers. <br /> <br />Report on Mohr House <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Parks and Community Services <br />(SR 84:593) dated October 25, 1984, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he would like to have refined costs regarding this <br />matter, to be considered at the time of budget considerations. He stated that Council <br />has already committed to various projects and that priorities will have to be estab- <br />lished as to how to best use City monies for the greatest benefit to the residents of <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated it is premature to take any action tonight; that pre- <br />liminary costs should be considered at the time of budget sessions regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated it should be determined if the City is going to accept <br />the donation of the Mohr house now that the offer has been made. She stated she felt <br />the house should be accepted at this time and moved to a city site to protect it from <br />further deterioration and vandalism. <br /> <br /> 11. 10/30/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
