Zoning for the property is I-G (General Industrial) <br />District .... <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> <br />PUP-84-9, Application of the Prudential Insurance Company. for PUD rezoning and <br />development plan and sign program approval for a single-story, approximately 3,350 <br />~. ft. commercial structure and related facilities on the 0.647 acre site located <br />at the northwest corner of the intersection of Owens Court and Owens Drive. The <br />property is zoned I-G (General Indu'strial) District <br /> Mr. Harris presented his reports (SR 84:537 and SR 84:546) dated October 9, 1984 <br />regarding these two items. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the general plan amendment, the <br />negative declaration, and the rezoning and development plan application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Andrew Mack, Bissell and Karn, representing Prudential Insurance Company, <br />described the project and presented landscaping plans, stating that the landscaping <br />will be maintained by Hacienda Owners Association. He stated he has reviewed the <br />staff report on these items and concurs with the reports and recommendations. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to these items. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 84-524, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the Cit ~ <br /> y s guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br />connection with GP-84-12, application of the Prudential Insurance Company to amend <br />the General Plan Land Use Element designation of the 0.647 acre site from General and <br />Limited Industrial to Commercial and Offices located at the northwest corner of the <br />intersection of Owens Court and Owens Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 84-52?, approving GP-84-12, application of the Prudential Insurance <br />Company to amend the General Plan Land Use Element designation of the 0.647 acre site <br />from General and Limited Industrial to Commercial and Offices located at the northwest <br />corner of the intersection of Owens Court and Owens Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Ordinance No. 1160, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving PUD-84-9, application of the Prudential Insurance Company for PUD rezoning <br />and development plan and sign program approval for a single-story, approximately 3,350 <br />sq. ft. commercial structure and related facilities on the 0.647 acre site located at <br />the northwest corner of the intersection of Owens Court and Owens Drive, subject to <br />all conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2534, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> 14. 10/16/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
