Mayor Mercer stated that he had received a telephone call from Mr. Doug Bosma, <br />of the Clorox Corporation, this date, expressing support of the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council- <br />member Butler, that ordinance No. 1154, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, the Transportation Systems Management Ordinance, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Council instructed staff to prepare a report regarding the appointment of a <br />Transportation Systems Management Coordinator, for further consideration. <br /> <br />RZ-84-10, Application of the Planning Commission to amend certain sections of the <br />zoning code as they pertain to temporary signs adjacent to ~.eeways <br />(Contd. Open from 8-14-84) <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:488) dated September 5, 1984, requesting <br />this item be continued to the meeting of October 16, 1984, because Planning Commis- <br />sion will not consider the matter until their meeting of September 12, 1984. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this public hearing continued open to the meeting of October <br />16, 1984, 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1153, approving RZ-84-14, application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to amend the Ordinance Code to allow for the establishment of "bed and <br />breakfast inns" as a conditionally permitted use in the RM-4000 (Multiple-family <br />Residential) District and/or other appropriate multi-family residential zoning <br />districts <br />(Intro. 8-28-84, 3-Ayes, 2-Absent) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1153 was introduced on August 28, 1984, by <br />a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1153, amending Title II, Article 6, to allow bed and breakfast inns <br />in the "RM" Districts, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Contd.) <br />ApDroval of the Master Plan for the City Owned 37 Acre Parcel of Land on Sunol Boule- <br />vard - Including the Proposed 200 Unit Senior Citizen Housin~ Pro~ect <br /> This item was considered as item 8aa on the agenda earlier in the meeting. <br /> <br /> 9. 9/1~/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
