Mayor Mercer stated that he had received a telephone call from Mr. Doug Bosma, of the Clorox Corporation, this date, expressing support of the proposed ordinance. There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council- member Butler, that ordinance No. 1154, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, the Transportation Systems Management Ordinance, be introduced. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None Council instructed staff to prepare a report regarding the appointment of a Transportation Systems Management Coordinator, for further consideration. RZ-84-10, Application of the Planning Commission to amend certain sections of the zoning code as they pertain to temporary signs adjacent to ~.eeways (Contd. Open from 8-14-84) Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:488) dated September 5, 1984, requesting this item be continued to the meeting of October 16, 1984, because Planning Commis- sion will not consider the matter until their meeting of September 12, 1984. Mayor Mercer declared this public hearing continued open to the meeting of October 16, 1984, 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION Adoption of Ordinance No. 1153, approving RZ-84-14, application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Ordinance Code to allow for the establishment of "bed and breakfast inns" as a conditionally permitted use in the RM-4000 (Multiple-family Residential) District and/or other appropriate multi-family residential zoning districts (Intro. 8-28-84, 3-Ayes, 2-Absent) Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1153 was introduced on August 28, 1984, by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1153, amending Title II, Article 6, to allow bed and breakfast inns in the "RM" Districts, be adopted.
